Speculation about Nemanja Vidic moving out of Old Trafford is causing a storm of interest in transfer market. Reportedly, top notch European clubs are lining up to place a bid on the Manchester United defender.

Manchester United has issued an official statement regarding the future of Nemanja Vidic at the club, but it widely believed that they won’t be handing over their first choice of captain to any club.

Nemanja Vidic has been out of Manchester United’s first team for over a year now. Nagging injuries dogged the Serbia international for the better part of last season. Luckily for Manchester United their latest batch of Academy players stepped forth to handle the defensive crisis Nemanja Vidic’s absence had created.

Now, widespread rumors are linking Nemanja Vidic with an away move to the Italian champions Juventus. Nemanja Vidic will be a good signing for Juventus, but the 30-year-old defender’s agent has rubbished speculation linking him to the Italian outfit.

While Nemanja Vidic tries hard to get back in the groove, Manchester United will be having second thoughts about keeping their star defender in the squad. Nemanja Vidic is considered by many as the apple of the eye of Manchester Untied manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Well, Sir Alex Ferguson’s love for Nemanja Vidic has been no secret. The Scotsman has often hailed Nemanja Vidic as the face of the club, but Nemanja Vidic has been spending more time on the bench than on the field lately.

Nemanja Vidic was ruled of action for a further eight weeks following a setback in his recovery. The center back went under the knife to repair his knee problems last month. In spite of his health problems, Juventus and Barcelona are showing interest in picking up the Serb.

Nemanja Vidic’s agent Silvano Martina insists that he has talked about a transfer with Juventus or Barcelona and that Nemanja Vidic is eager to return on the field for Manchester United.

“[Nemanja] Vidic is not playing at this time because he's had surgery, so he's only thinking about his recovery and not about the transfer market,” Silvano Martina told itasportpress.it recently.

“Juventus are complete with their non-EU players for this season and it is highly unlikely they will make a bid for Vidic, therefore I can categorically rule out any interest from them. Vidic is already part of a top club and there are no negotiations with Juventus or Barcelona.”
