Manti Te'o's father has blacklisted the Honolulu Star Advertiser after the linebacker's hometown newspaper featured a photo of Eddie Lacy running over Te'o on the front page of their newspaper following Notre Dame's blowout loss to Alabama in the National Championship game.
Apparently honest and realistic coverage isn't what Brian Te'o (Manti's father) expected.
Brian's statement, via Chicago Sports Media Watch:
Unfortunately for the Te'o family, the Honolulu Star Advertiser (and everyone else) is supposed to report the truth.
The truth is that Te'o looked like a boy among men, and got absolutely exposed by Lacy and Alabama's offensive line.
Te'o and Notre Dame's defense were absolutely impotent against an Alabama offense that scored 42 points, and could have scored more if they had kept their foot on the gas pedal.
His draft stock has already plummeted after the Championship game, and Te'o is no longer viewed as a top 5 draft pick.
For his sake, let's hope that people ignore the fact that his father is a power-hungry egotistical maniac, and don't hold that against Manti Te'o, or his draft stock could fall even further.
