According to a recent tweet by Manu Ginobili, the San Antonio shooting guard will be out the next 10-14 days with a Grade 1 hamstring injury. The slender shooting guard has suffered from a slew of injuries this past year, but the silver lining - if there is one - is that each injury seems to be unrelated to the next.
Manu's most recent injury was suffered in the first half against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
Manu could now miss up to seven games with the injury, but his teammates don't seem too worried about their 6th man or their bench production.
“We’ve had injuries in the past, so our mindset is going to be the same,” said teammate Danny Green. “Our bench guys have to bring energy. We can’t have any letdowns. Just continue to play good basketball and have faith in our guys they’ll be able to pick up the slack for Manu. He’s been playing really well for us. It just sucks he got hurt at this point in the season. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.”
Manu was averaging nearly 13ppg, but the Spurs have the highest scoring bench in the league and shouldn't skip a beat with his absence.
