The Houston Rockets have added depth behind Dwight Howard and Omer Asik by signing free agent center Marcus Camby to a one-year deal.  After being traded to Toronto in a deal that landed the Knicks Andrea Bargnani, the Raptors bought out the remainder of his contract and he cleared waivers before signing with Houston.

Now with the pickup of Camby, who has had trouble staying healthy over the last few seasons, Asik might have received his wish. But they most likely will hang onto him because of the combination of Dwight and Asik in the middle would be a formidable two-some on the defensive end.

Camby, when healthy, is a big contributor on the defensive glass and his presence helps clog the lane - the three big-man rotation will be a tough to poke through, making this Rockets team one of the top defensive teams in the league.
