ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Sanchez is likely to sign with the Eagles, likely as a backup for Nick Foles.

Foles' backup at the end of last season was Michael Vick, who signed with Sanchez's former team, the New York Jets.

Sanchez has 68 career passing touchdowns and 69 interceptions. The Jets went 33-29 with him at the controls over 4 seasons. Last year, he took a backseat to rookie Geno Smith.

His days as a starter are likely over, but there's a chance that the Eagles will allow him to show what he can do, and he'll impress someone at some point. But I wouldn't count on it.
