Marshawn Lynch's Traffic Violation Should Have Been Expected

Revoking Lynch's License Was A Smart Move
6/30/08

Forgive us for we can't get over the stupidity that has been NFL players this offseason.

As you know by now, Marshawn Lynch was accused of hitting a women with his car and leaving the scene. He originally claimed innocence, then later retracted to admit that it was indeed his car involved in the hit-and-run, and that yes, he was driving. On Friday when he was hit with the oh-so-steep penalty of $100, Lynch still wanted to proclaim he didn't know his vehicle struck anyone:
"When I was making a left turn from Chippewa onto Delaware a woman came into the road. This woman was dancing and spinning around in the crosswalk. I slowed down for her and when she went by I proceeded down Delaware Avenue.

I am sorry that Mrs. Shpeley was struck and injured. Please know that I was unaware that my car had made contact with anyone until after this investigation had begun. I would never knowingly leave the scene of an accident and did not do so in this instance."
For someone that was awfully observant to notice a woman dancing and spinning in the crossalk while raining, he sure lost his senses very quickly to not realize the sound that must be made WHEN YOUR VEHICLE HITS A PERSON.

Anyways, the Bills rookie will also be losing his license as a result of this infraction. Real Clear Sports reminds us with this foreshadowing video above, that we should have known this coming back in his Cal Bears days.

This guy needs to be thanking SOMEONE that he got off as easy as he did - any of us would have been thrown under the bus...
