Masimilliano Allegri needs to be SACKED immediately.
But Milan seem to be losing their way over these past couple of years. Just look at all the names they have lost over the past 5 seasons. Maldini, Seedorf, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Pirlo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic and Gattuso. These are all world class champions that have left the squad. But you might ask me as to what this has to do with Allegri? Yea I guess you can point some fingers at other people, but when your team is steadily in decline every single year as a manager you have to take large blame.
After a successful scudetto winning season during the 2010-2011 campaign Milan looked like they were back on top of the italian mountain. But just after the season ended a shocking event had happened. World Class Central Midfielder Andrea Pirlo was being released from his contract and being let go for FREE. Now how the hell do you let a player like Pirlo walk? Maybe its because he's in decline right? According to Mr. Max he believed that Pirlo was no longer capable to play for Milan. Well didn't that turn out to be probably the worst decision that Milan has ever made. Soon after being released from the Rossoneri Pirlo had signed with up and coming Italian Giants Juventus. One of Milan's biggest rivals just got probably the greatest italian playmaker for FREE! But of course Milan are the defending champions of Italy and it wouldn't prove to be a great loss right? Wrong again. Juventus with Andrea Pirlo went on to have an unprecedented undefeated season in serie a and go on to win the league past a limping Milan side down the last month of the season. Now Milan could've easily won this scudetto but Mr. Allegri felt as if that the Coppa Italia was more important for them to go after. Another ridiculous thought that proved to be fatal. One final problem that was held on this season was the management of Thiago Silva while he came back from injury. The worlds best defender in Thiago Silva injured his hamstring during a match vs AS Roma which sidelined him for about multiple weeks. But Mr. Max that it was all fine and dandy to rush him back into action and he injured his hamstring even more forcing him out for the rest of the season. WOW what a great job of managing the best defender in the world while in a race for the scudetto. If I were the boss he loses his job right there.
But Milan CEO Adriano Galliani insisted that they bring back Max for another season. During the summer transfer window Milan when through a much drastic change. Legends like Seedorf, Nesta, Zambrotta and Inzaghi all retired from soccer. To add insult to injury they ended up selling their two best players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva arguably the best at their positions in the world to French giants PSG. Now Max is caught in a bind. He has no top players to work with, all they signed was Ricardo Montolivo for free from Fiorentina. Now the weight of Milan all depended on young superstar in the making Stephan El Shaarawy. Ah yes IL FARAONE otherwise known as the pharaoh of Milan. The youngster literally put a decimated AC Milan on his back throughout the first half of the season while Milan was struggling around 9th place on the table. Now for those of you that don't know Milan hasn't finished near that low in the standings since 1982 when they were relegated to the second division. Milan was down in the dumps now and the once dominate club was now a mid table team and they needed something to inspire them since their ill-minded coach has been nonexistent. So during the January Transfer window Milan signed Mario Balotelli from Manchester City for a fee of 20 Million Euros. This alone was what inspired the players into reaching 3rd place which held a spot to play in the champions league. Although Mario did succeed scoring 12 goals in 13 games for Milan another player was failing. El Shaarawy only scored one goal the whole second half. People try and make excuses that Mario and Stephan aren't compatible with each other. I for one think thats ridiculous and i'll tell you why right now. Milan had switched to the 4-3-3 formation at the request of Club Owner Silvio Berlusconi. So Stephan was switched over as a left wing and playing in front of a catastrophe of a player called Kevin Constant. Now keep in mind Kevin Constant is a converted midfielder with an attacking mindset, so when you put those two together that means only one thing. He can't defend for his damn life. So who has to suffer? Ahhhh thats right! The Pharaoh does. Stephan would have to continually track back on defense for Constants missed played passes and his tendency to push up to far. Thus tiring out Stephan and not allowing him to have goal scoring opportunities. Now you might also say that Kevin is the only option for Max and that he has no one else. Well thats total BS Milan has the one of the top young fullbacks in the world in Mattia De Sciglio. He is just a staggering 21 year old who has drawn comparisons to the likes of Paolo Maldini. So the Question is Mr. Allegri if you do have one of the best young defenders in the world and who has a spot on the Azzuri National Team, why don't you start him? See? Doesn't it all make sense now? This guy does have the talent to win but he can't figure out a way to handle any of this.
Oh you thought I was done? Nope LOL. Just a few more facts to bring up. Lets talk about Mr. Max's record vs the top 6 teams in Italy. Max has only won fewer than 20% of games vs the likes of Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Inter, Lazio and Fiorentina. So if you coach a top club like Milan you need to be able to prepare your team vs these top ranked opponents. But he simply can't do that.
Milan has placed one spot lower each year under Allegri and the trend continues this season. Currently Milan is in 10th place only up 4 points from the relegation zone. The Milan we all know and love is dying right before our eyes. It's like that beautiful and loving puppy we all know but is has a terrible owner (Max and Co.) who are just abusing it and we all aren't sure as to how much longer it can take it. Milan really need to get a new coach and some investors who are willing to put in some cash towards the club to purchase top players once again. All we can do at this point is hope that the Pharaoh gets back to full health and Mario keeps his cool while Kevin Constant sits on the bench while De Sciglio shines for the Rossoneri.
Forza Milan! and Sack Allegri!
