According to Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated, small forward Matt Barnes, is close to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. After playing for the Los Angeles Lakers for the past few years, Barnes will now be taking his services to the other team that plays in the Staples Center.
The Clippers will now be loaded with a gluttony of veterans featuring Grant Hill, Jamal Crawford, and Lamar Odom. After Chauncey Billups went down last year with an achilles injury, it was obvious that the embryonic Clippers needed more of a veteran presence. The signing of these vets - along with the combination of youth - should provide the right balance that the Clippers need to make a deep run in the playoffs.

I love how the title of the article say SIGNING WITH THE CLIPPERS then you read it, it says sources say he is close to a deal.
