Matt Flynn returning to the Green Bay Packers

Could Matt Flynn be the Packers' best answer while Aaron Rodgers is out?

Mandatory Credit: Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY SportsThe Packers have brought back former backup Matt Flynn, now that they're absolutely desperate for a quarterback.

Starter Aaron Rodgers will miss a few weeks (at best), and backup Seneca Wallace has proven to be a bad fit for the team as the starter.

Flynn was the backup in Green Bay for four seasons from 2008-2011, and he had one of the best games in Packers history in the final game of the 2011 season, when he lit up the Lions for 6 TD passes.

If Flynn can do anything at all for the Packers, it will be better than what they've been getting lately, and the Packers are hoping that he can at least be a serviceable replacement while they wait for Rodgers to get back. There's a playoff spot on the line, and they'll need some good things from Flynn if they hope to make it.

Well, he played better in GB than he did anywhere else in his journeys. Who knows.
