Matt Flynn to Demetrius Byrd: LSU Tigers Pull Out Another Final Minute Win vs Auburn
by CriticalFanatic

Just catching up on my football Saturday and it's no surprise the LSU Tigers pulled out yet another last second win ... in yet another final minute decision against Auburn. Do these two play any other way?

Huge massive cajones on Les Miles part (or was it dumb luck) to allow Matt Flynn to throw the fade to Demetrius Byrd with time nearly expiring. This is the kind of play that will define the Tigers national championship. What's with the favorable spots for LSU on their final drives at home? Part of football, and part of what just seems to be their year.

Above is the final couple plays video, below are the complete highlights of what appeared to be a great game:

I say the latter.

I agree.  It seemed throughout the game that if they pulled it off it would be by sheer luck.  Auburn was fairly impressive throughout.  They know that they got lucky... and I'm sure will be working extra hard in practice this week :)

That was one of the dumbest play calls I've seen.  Les Miles is a complete moron, just lucky enough to be blessed with a team so talented it makes every other team in the nation look like a third world country.

LSU owes this win to the officials, in the drive the officials spotted the ball in a considerably favorable place, in reality they were a yard away from the first down marker, but the officials gave them the first down.

Guess it was a make up call for the blown PI at Auburn last year

Welcome to the Q; but makeup call?

I've heard of makeup calls made later in the game, and in sports where same teams play more than once, even later in that season...but from last season? I don't think so.

Almost positive it wasn't the same refs as last years games either...so unless the refs from this years game just got done watching a replay of what happened last year, then it would be somewhat excuseable.

Other than that? No way.
