Matt Harvey's Twitter account is no more, after the Mets tried to crack down on him for tweeting a picture of him giving the middle finger.

Harvey says his mom took the picture, and it was taken 6 months ago before his Tommy John surgery.

The Mets asked him to delete the tweet, so Harvey took it a step further and deleted his entire account.

"It was me showing little bit of my personality before surgery. I’m not going to apologize for being myself and having a good laugh at a funny little picture, but I’ve kind of had enough with Twitter."

This probably would have been a non-issue if the Mets had just ignored it and let it slide.

However, now that they told Harvey to delete it and he deleted his entire account, it's on every single New York sports page, as well as all over the internet.

Once again, the Mets are doing it wrong. Just relax, guys. It's gonna be ok.
