Rory Mcllroy wins his first Bitish OpenForget Tiger Woods.  The future of the PGA is Rory Mcllroy.

At the tender age of 25, the Northern Irishman won his first British Open title earlier today by two strokes.  Mcllroy shot a 71 to win his third major of his career.  He is now the third youngest golfer to win three major PGA titles.  Jack Nicklaus was 23 when he won three major titles and Tiger Woods was 24.

Mcllroy had a comfortable lead going into the final round, but his Ryder Cup teammate, Sergio Garcia gave him a bit of a challenge today.

Fortunately for Mcllroy, he managed to hang on to the two stroke lead as Garcia had to settle for a tie for second place with American, Rickie Fowler.

Mcllroy has had a stellar career at young age.

Mcllroy has six first place finishes.  Finished in the top ten 33 times and the top 25 69 times.

This guy (Mcllroy) is for real folks.
