Here are some story lines to watch:
- Will Texas A&M play in the second half? If it weren't for second halves Texas A&M might be playing in the title game. Instead the Aggies are 6-6.
- Can the Pac-12 get its first bowl win? Currently the conference is 0-3 in bowls, but Utah and UCLA will give it a go today, though it won't be easy for either squad. Utah is the underdog in the Sun Bowl against Georgia Tech and UCLA frankly isn't very good.
- Can Vanderbilt do more than just cover? The Commodores were one of the best teams against the spread this season, but still went just 6-6. As 2.5 point favorites, Vandy will have to cover just to win.
- How will Auburn play in a downgraded bowl game? This isn't the national championship game and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is out the door to coach Arkansas State and running back Michael Dyer is reportedly following him there (though Auburn coach Gene Chizik denies this rumor). How will the team respond.
