I'll be remembering this tournament for Stephen Curry and the Davidson run that was far from a miracle. They belonged and were one Curry shot away from the Final Four. That's OK, though, as we're now set for the best semifinals matcups in recent memory. When this is over, Steph Curry may have to make room for remember this as one of the best finals ever.
Memphis apparently didn't wash the floor enough with the Spartans and had some work to do with Texas. The Tigers even went out and shot 83.3 percent from the foul line, the best of any team in the Elite Eight. John Calipari would like you to suck one. Looking ahead, UCLA's backcourt has very little chance to stop this momentum if Derrick Rose and CDR continue to play this well.
As for Kansas, Bill Self must feel 100 lbs lighter this morning. A loss to Davidson could have been the final straw for Jayhawks alums. Instead a perfectly executed defensive possession to the end the game has Self headed to San Antonio. Curry might have gotten cold at the end and passed up HIS shot to win the game, but can we just name him the tournaments MOP award now?
