About Memphis:

Memphis (26-8) was the regular season and conference tournament champion of Conference-USA this season. Like typical Memphis teams, this squad is incredibly athletic, led by 6-foot-6 sophomore forward Will Barton who averages 18.1 points and 8.1 rebounds a game. The Tigers enter the tournament having won seven straight games, and for the season they only lost twice to non-tournament teams (Central Florida and UTEP). 

About Saint Louis:

The Billikens (25-7) are a defensive-minded team that finished second in the Atlantic-10 Conference behind Temple. Saint Louis, coached by Rick Majerus, enters the NCAA Tournament having won nine of their past 11 games. Their leading scorer is 6-foot-6 senior forward Brian Conklin who is having his best season, averaging 13.9 points a game.

The winner plays the winner of No. 1 Michigan State and No. 16 LIU Brooklyn.
