It's been a rough last two seasons for the Mets, what with two incredibly crushing September collapses - the most recent one coming in the stadium's final season. Luckily, Mets fans still have that fire, the fire to give the team that knocked  them out of the playoffs the bird. I wouldn't expect anything less from guys that live with their moms in Queens.

The good thing though about Mets fans is that they're pretty honest with themselves. Like take this text poll about whether Mets fans thought their team would read the playoffs from a game a few nights ago when the team still had a very good chance of making the playoffs (pic courtesy of Tirico Sauve).

Needless to say, Mets fans knew exactly what was coming. Let's hope we get more of the same in the new stadium.
