Miami Dolphins Release Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson, undoubtedly the top attraction of viewers to this season's Hard Knocks, will no longer be the feature of the show, or the Miami Dolphins. After his arrest this weekend for apparently head-butting his wife, Evelyn Lozada, following an argument over a receipt for purchased condoms, the Dolphins cleaned out his locker and released the troubled receiver. 

Chad revealed earlier today that he did not head-butt his wife, she was in fact the culprit. However, this will inevitably become a he-said-she-said type of thing. However, the Dolphins, already irate with the profanity-laced pre-camp interview from Johnson to the media, had apparently come to their final straw. 

Johnson is now out of a job and potentially out of a marriage, that began on twitter, as we all found out on Hard Knock's premiere last Sunday. Will another professional team take a chance on him before the season begins? Or will his latest off-field shenanigans scare teams away? 

Either way, this comes as a blow to both HBO and the Dolphins. The negative PR Johnson brings also provides for increased attention and potential positives as well. HBO, locked into the five-episode series of the Dolphins, just lost the spice of their show. Johnson was the selling point to fans this offseason, and now that he is gone, interest in the series will now dwindle.
