Former Miami (Fla.) safety Ray-Ray Armstrong will go from playing in front of 76,000 roaring fans to a whopping 3,500.Blog Photo - Miami Football: Ray-Ray Armstrong Transfers to NAIA School

Previously projected as a first-round selection in the 2013 NFL draft, Armstrong has decided to transfer to NAIA Faulkner University after being kicked off the Hurricanes' team for his involvement with an illegal booster.

Faulkner is a private college in Alabama with an enrollment over just over 2,000 students. It competes in the Mid-South Conference West division, alongside five teams inside the NAIA Top 25.

During his time in Miami, Armstrong's performance on the field drew comparisons to those of Ed Reed and Sean Taylor with his elite speed, big-hit abilities and huge upside.

If he continues to work on his reaction time and pass coverage this upcoming season, all while keeping a low key until the draft combine, he should still be a high-round pick.
