Miami Heat Waive Mike Miller
The NBA Champs have waived three-point shooter Mike Miller this Tuesday. By using their amnesty clause on Miller, the Heat will save $17 million on their luxury tax bill. Miller will still collect $12.8 million from whatever team signs him, unless he chooses to retire.
In classy fashion, Miller tweeted, “I want thank the Heat organization, my teammates and the fans for an amazing run.”
He also told the Associated Press, ““I understand the business side of basketball. It’s a combination of being very, very thankful for the opportunity that I’ve had, but it hurts that we had a chance to do something very, very special and I’d love to have been a part of it.”
