Miami Officially the Anti-Boston Sports Town
READ MORE:

It's high times for New England sports fans this year. Boston Red Sox have won the World Series, the Patriots are likely to go undefeated en route to another Super Bowl, the Celtics are 6-0, Boston College in the running for a BCS bid and even the MLS Revolution are playing for the title.

Which city is having the exact opposite fortunes this fall? Miami.

- Dolphins are 0-9 with no signs of competence.
- Miami Heat are 1-6 and will be fortunate to break 30 wins even with Dwyane Wade healthy.
- Miami's actual professional football team, Da U, just got waxed 48-0 in its last game at the Orange Bowl and might not get to a bowl game.
- Marlins will be getting rid of Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera, the only two remaining reasons to watch a baseball game in the city.
- Florida Panthers (7-11) aren't all that good, either.

But hey, there aren't any nude beaches in New England.

Hey CF you forgot half the fans that stop supporting or even watching because they can't handle losing over and over again. Also the boards and owners that don't want to spend the money on good things for their teams to draw fans in.

Miami sports teams right now are the high school teams of each professional sport.

If you don't count the Sharks (which I don't), the Bay Area hasn't had a professional sports team win a game since September 30.   You can throw in Cal's free fall and the fact there was just an oil spill in the bay say these are tough times.

At least global warming is making November feel like July.  I haven't worn a jacket in 7-8 months.

Sounds like you SHOULD count the Sharks.

New York is still the anti-Boston town. We could definitely do without the Boston teams. The Celtics are in the Knicks division, the Sox are in the Yankees division, and the Bills are probably gonna get killed by the Pats on Sunday.

I can't argue with that.
