Michael Schmacher continues to improve
He had been placed in a medically induced coma to allow his body and brain to heal. After more than six months, it is reported that he has been moved to a Rehabilitation hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland to continue his recovery.
He is reportedly responsing to commands, is recognizing family, and is able to take care of his own basic bodily functions, but other than that, little has been shared.
Schumacher retired from Formula One racing in 2012, and has a home near Lausanne. In his years in F1, he won 7 championships, was the first to win 13 races in one season. In fact, if you look at the F1 statistics, Michael's name appears beside most of the records, most pole positions, fastest laps, most championships, etc.
We wish him well in his recovery.
