I didn't know this, but apparently Michael Vick took an animal empathy test courtesy of PETA shortly after he plead guilty to dogfighting. I guess the idea was to see if he'd learned anything after he'd admitted his guilt. Anyhow, PETA just released the test, which Vick got a 73.5 out of 100 on, and I'm going to be honest, it is AWESOME.
Let's get to some of the responses Vick gave, shall we?
- Vick explains "The Golden Rule" as doing "on to others as u want them to do on to u .... (as long the feeling is mutual)."
- On the athleticism of chickens: "Chickens have an uncanny ability to think and are very agile. They are very athletic to me."
- On dog loyalty: "My aunt Tina own a Rotti name Tico. Once my aunt and her boyfriend Wayne was having an intense fight ... [Tico] jump through a glass window & pinned my aunt boyfriend Wayne to the ground just growling ... Now that's loyalty."
- Vick describes the sadness that elephants feel when "visiting the grave site of another family member...rubbing the bones with their trunks and...crying out in grief". He also writes about the "deer who wouldn't leave his mate and took a [bullet] for her" and the "piglet who went after the drowning little boy in a story I read. Now that's heroic".
The full test is on PETA's website, so head there if you want to keep reading.
So what do you guys think? Has he learned his lesson? I say yes, and that has nothing
