Michael Vick marries Kijafa Frink in Wedding Ceremony at Fontainebleau

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, business-woman and PNK jewelry boutique owner Kijafa Frink over the weekend. Although Michael Vick had a lot to celebrate given that it was his wedding and the 32-year-old just signed a six-year contract, worth a $100 million with the Philadelphia Eagles in the late 2011 season, still the wedding was budgeted at $300,000. However props to Michael Vick for managing a reportedly fun wedding without a lavish price tag. A low-budgeted wedding was also a great idea probably considering that Michael Vick is still paying-off creditors after filing for bacnkruptcy in 2007.

The wedding was organized at the Fontainebleau resort in Miami Beach and was attended by around 300 guests that included family, friends and NFL colleagues of Michael Vick. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, running back LeSean McCoy, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, former New Orleans Saints player Aaron Brooks and free agent Plaxico Burress were also present at the wedding.

The couple hosted a cocktail party prior to the wedding at an outdoor patio on the second floor of the Fontainebleau, looking out on the scenic ocean. Another wedding perk included a private poolside concert by Flo Rida, maroon 5, and the Gym Class Heroes.

Even after the tight security at the Fontainebleau entrance that temporarily held every guests’ cell phone and camera, the atmosphere of the wedding and cocktail party remained laid-back and cool. The venue was adorned with delicate white flowers, same hued candles and opulent chandeliers.

R&B music was played at the event, while tables were set with hookah and the menu for the wedding even included chicken and waffles, something the humble Atlanta native added for a personal touch. The two peculiar food choices are an item that has never been seen on a wedding menu at the Fontainebleau, probably one of South Florida’s most luxurious hotels. However, the wedding guests were also offered lobsters, oysters and shrimp. Guests were served with cool and refreshing pink fruity drinks during the event.

Guests threw themselves into dancing as women in ball gowns readily traded their four-inch stilettos for flip flops to ensure the continuity of the fun exercise.

Just before the wedding ceremony the groom Michael Vick, who was suited in coordination with his best man and party dressed in pink and purple posted the following tweet:

"Miami here we come….this is about to be beautiful."

Meanwhile, his bride Kijafa Frink tweeted photos of herself taken at the Fontainebleau’s striking pool.

The couple had been making happy progress even after Michael Vick’s bankruptcy and the illegal dog-fighting scandal that landed the quarterback a 21 month sentence. Throughout all, Kijafa Frink fully supported Michael Vick which motivated him to go ahead with the wedding after proposing on his then girlfriends’’ 29th birthday in 2009.
