So Michael Vick was a big-time football player, a star in College and drafted into the The N.F.L. with a bright future, which he seemingly was on track for. However along the way Vick was derailed, fortunately, by the discovery of the going's on in his "Bad Newz Kennels" business, which was run and funded by him. I won't go back and be redundent about all that we already know and have learned in this shocking story, which landed him in prison and out of football, but I will go into something far more disturbing about Michael Vick, and his legacy that speaks volumes of our troubled society.
Vick's Bad Newz Kennels business was illegal, but what went on in their wasn't just about breeding dogs for fighting, but about Murder and savage treatment of dog's that go far beyond that of just a simple Animal Cruely case, but rather that of a demented villain out of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". According to court documents, dog's were rolled into a pit to fight so Vick and his other freaks could "Observe" and see which ones had the right stuff ! The dog's that fought were rewarded with affection, food, vitamens and training sessions. The innocent dog's who showed no taste for battle were KILLED, and not just killed, but shot at point blank range, electrocuted, drowned, hanged, and in one case....... repeatededly slammed against the ground until they were dead ! This goes beyond the bounds of even unnaceptable human behavior, but that of someone who should be institutionalized. Imagine people doing these things. The way they were killed suggests Vick is no Sports Star, no Role Model, no talented Athlete, but rather a Monster. I won't go into the hollywood realm of such moronic defenses of Vick by Whoopie Goldberg saying things like Vick was brought up in a environment that would lead him into that realm !! Yeah right Whoopie, I don't know of any environments that promotes that kind of torture, but thanks for playing Whoopie, now go back on "The View" and shut your trap. There are no excuses Vick can make for this, and no one to make excuses in trying to defend what he did; he is a disturbed man.
This isn't just about my love and respect for dog's. There are millions of people that have had or currently have dog's as pets, and if they don't I am sure they have family or friends that have dogs. Even if you are not a Dog Lover or animal lover if you look at the sheer brutality of this case, the barberic acts of carnage displayed should make anyone sick to their stomach with anger and rage. Michael Vick should never be allowed to play NFL Football again in fact he should be put away. He can never pay his "Debt" to all those Dog's he terrorized, maybe he will serve his required jail time, but it will never be enough. His acts are just a stain on the Human Race, and he is an insult to the term "Professional Athlete", and he belongs to neither.

The National Geographic Channel features a show called "Dog Town".  Over Christmas, they showed a marathon of shows and featured stories about the dogs that were fortunate enough to be rescued from Michael Vick's Bad NewZ Kennels.  It was heart wrenching, yet uplifting to see that some were rescued and have found loving homes and rewarding lives.  I hope HE never has the chance to find out what life is like in a loving home, but only to find out what it is like to live like one of his dogs did.

NO, I haven't.  It isn't the type of "sport" that I frequent, support or approve of, I'm Proud to say.  What Michael Vick's participated in is DISGUSTING!
