Michigan Looks to Capitalize Versus Northwestern

This is a big game for Michigan. Even though Northwestern isn’t ranked, and is kind of the purple-headed stepchild of the Big 10, they played Illinois well and took care of a decent Boston College team. This is Michigan’s first away game of the season.

The Wolverines are coming off of a huge (58-0 type huge) win over Minnesota which helped propel them to number 12 in the rankings. In a massive turnaround from last season, Michigan’s defense is tied for second in the nation with Michigan State and Wisconsin (Michigan was were number 110 last year).

Denard Robinson, is definitely the player to watch out for this week. Besides letting his laces flail and trip anyone in his path (is that over used yet?), he has thrown for 14 touchdowns and is definitely on Heisman watch for the season. Robinson has the most rushing yards in the Big 10 conference at 603, which makes him a double threat against the Wildcats. According to his hacked twitter account, he's also a threat to cheat on you or steal your girlfriend.

Look for the Wolverines to claw through the wildcats like their claws were infused with adamantium. For all you non-comic book enthusiasts, that means they’ll win.

I'm taking Dan Persa as my player to watch in this game.  Had he not gotten hurt in the 4th quarter against Illinois, I think Northwestern pulls off the upset.  If he can go, the Wolverines will have their hands full.  If he gets hurt again and the Wildcats have to go with their backup QB, Michigan will roll easily
