The Michigan Whitecaps, an A-level minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, know that the way to many baseball fans' hearts is through their stomachs.

That's why they're introducing the "Baco," a bacon-shell taco to be sold during games.

As you can see from the picture, it looks like a slice of bacon-wrapped heaven.

This isn't the first time the Whitecaps have come up with a gimmicky food product designed to appeal to the gluttons among us.

In 2009, they featured something called the "ODD Bodacious Ballpark Burger," which featured "a sesame-seed bun made from a pound of dough, five 1/3-pound beef patties, five slices of cheese, nearly a cup of chili and liberal doses of salsa and corn chips."

Here's the burger, modeled by former Whitecaps intern Josh Kowalczyk:

That looks a bit excessive, to be honest, but the Baco seems like it would be closer to my speed.

Tacos + Bacon = AMAZING.

What's the best ballpark food you've ever had?

I could have stomached that stuff a decade ago...  But today?  Just can't do it.

Best ball park item?  The Polish at Candlestick Park before they changed vendors in the early '90's was the best.  Now the best polish can be found at San Jose Muni Stadium.  Home of the Single A California League San Jose Giants.  I used to get at least 3 when I went.  Now I have to limit it to one.  Getting old sucks.

Um, that taco is mighty pretty.

I rarely eat at ballparks, so idk.

Oh and to answer your question - garlic fries at AT&T Park. The ones at Safeco and C'Link are good but AT&T Park's are amazing.

I think I clogged an artery just looking at that. Then the burger. *dead*
