Mike Dunleavy might be coming to the Oklahoma City Thunder
With a $6.5 traded player exception still remaining, the Thunder have quite some room to spare, even after signing and then trading with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who they gave Kevin Martin. They have a variety of players and talents from which they can make their choice and the question is not who they can afford but is who they will buy.
And it seems that the Thunder are interested in Mike Dunleavy. He is making somewhere near $3 million for this season so getting him into the TPE cap will be no problem and they will still have some left. The Chicago Bulls might also have reason to give him in case there is he does not have salary coming back and with the Thunder he would prove a great asset for outside shooting. The Bulls need to have as much cap space that they can get and at the same time want to have enough to have their roster ready. Giving Dunleavy to Thunder would be a great solution for Bulls franchise.
In case the Thunder have some real intentions of winning this season, they will be making moves to make that possible and having Dunleavy would be a great help for that goal. Sure they might have to give some to get some but it seems worth it. Although the chances of the trade happening are slim, the way it benefits both parties is pretty good. It all comes down to the fact if Thunder want a starter in their roster of not.
