I'm not sure this goal counts because it came against Tampa Bay, but nonetheless, it was extremely impressive. Last night Mikka Koivu of the Minnesota Wild brought back flashbacks of Alexander Ovechkin's famous no-look, on-his-back goal when he turned in this gem to help lead the Wild to a 4-2 victory.
While there are some similarities, it's hard to argue that Koivu's was more impressive. I still remember being stunned by Ovechkin's ridiculous goal against the Coyotes. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more impressive goal in my life.
As great as Koivu's goal was, it still looks like chopped liver in comparison to Ovechkin's. It's like comparing a hot girl to a supermodel - one's just a clear cut above. But hey, you tell me hockey experts.
