Minnesota coach Jerry Kill has been released from the hospital after suffering a seizure late Saturday afternoon, reports USA Today.
University physician Pat Smith said that Kill's "only concern is his team and staff, and he is excited to resume his normal coaching duties as Minnesota prepares for Wisconsin this week."
Kill was rushed to the hospital Saturday following the 21-13 loss to Northwestern as a precaution. Gophers' defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys reported later that night that the seizure was minor.
Now at the age of 51, Kill has battled a seizure disorder since being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2005. He endured a more severe attack on the sideline during a game against New Mexico State last year and was hospitalized for several days.
