The West Field Reporter’s Annabel Stephan was able to catch up with the 6-foot-3, 205-pound wideout:
Coach Jerry Kill is in need of someone that “can go up the middle and take a hit,” and he will be getting that and more with Wolitarsky, who is the definition of a possession receiver.
Throughout his high school career, Wolitarsky compiled a California state record 279 receptions for 5,125 yards (also a state record) and a whopping 54 touchdowns.
His strong frame will help him be successful in the slot at the next level, and his sure hands will be a breath of fresh air for a pass offense that ranked 109th in the nation last season.
Wolitarsky becomes the 15th member of Minnesota’s recruiting class for 2013. He also holds offers from Arizona, Army, Hawaii, Navy, Nevada, San Diego State and San Jose State.
