The Minnesota Timberwolves have fired GM David Kahn and have rehired former head coach, Flip Saunders, to become the new president of basketball operations.   Saunders will also hold a minority ownership over the team, although how much he owns is unknown at this point.

David Kahn took the high road out by complimenting the organization and it’s future.  "The team has been headed in the right direction and will continue to be headed in the right direction," Kahn said. "I think this team will be a force to be reckoned with for many years. It's young. It's deep. It's talented. It simply needs to become healthy again."

Flip Saunders will not resume his former coaching position.  Current head coach Rick Adelman will continue to be the coach if he is able to return due to private matters.
