Metairie (LA) quarterback Damian Williams of Archbishop Rummel High School gave his verbal commitment to play for Dan Mullen and Mississippi State, reports Steve Robertson of FOXSportsNext.Blog Photo - Mississippi State Football: Bulldogs land another QB for class of '13

After making an official visit this weekend, Williams announced Sunday that he’d become a Bulldog after discussing things over with his family.

Williams is only a two-star prospect, but led his high school team to a 14-0 record and the Division-5A Louisiana State Championship.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound dual-threat isn’t the first quarterback recruited by Mullen for the class of 2013 – four-star Cord Sandberg pledged last June.

Williams was also offered by Florida International, Kansas State, Memphis, Nebraska, Southern Miss, Tulane and Louisiana-Monroe.
