Game Info: No. 2 Missouri vs. No. 15 Norfolk State, West Regional at Omaha, Neb. 4:40 p.m. ET, TNT
About Missouri:
The Tigers (30-4) were the Big 12 Tournament champions and easily could have earned a No. 1 seed. Missouri's last season in the Big 12 before leaving for the SEC was arguably its best. Coach Frank Haith has quite possibly the best and most explosive group of guards in the nation, led by Marcus Denmon, Kim English and Michael Dixon, who are three of the Tigers' five players who average double-digits points. Denmon is the leader at a 17.6 a game clip. Ricardo Ratliffe is Missouri's only real threat inside, and one concern for Haith is depth, as the Tigers only consistently play seven players. Overall Missouri is sixth in the nation in scoring.
About Norfolk State:
The Spartans (25-9) were the champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Unlike the Tigers, Norfolk State has a deep rotation, with 10 players averaging at least 10 minutes per game. The Spartans leading scorer (15.9 points) and rebounder (10.4 rebounds) is senior center Kyle O'Quinn.
