Mitchell Report Findings to Come Out Before Holidays - Official Name Speculation Thread
READ MORE:
MLB
Happy Holidays! Major League Baseball intends to give us all a present this holiday season by releasing the Mitchell Report findings sometime later this month.

We've heard far too many reports about George Mitchell's investigation that never followed through, but I feel compelled to believe this news.

"It is anticipated that the report will name names of current and former major league players who have used performance-enhancing substances including anabolic steroids and human growth hormone.

"The names of players will come out that people will be mad about," Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno said of the report last week, according to the Los Angeles Times. "Some of my information is secondhand, but I know there's going to be names.""

Oh goodie, thank you Santa. Us baseball fans have been very good this year and deserve many, many names.

We know the obvious players that will surface: Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, etc. Since we have some time until the reports come out, I though it'd be fun to speculate what players will make up the rest of the "reported" 50 in George Mitchell's report.

How about Adrian Beltre? His numbers jumped big time during his contract year, but are down big time in Seattle.

Some player that I really like and never would've expected is almost guaranteed to be on there.

If Mitchell tried digging any dirt up at all,  Roger Clemens name should be on there.

For my captain obvious how about Rafael Palmeiro.

And I've always had a sneaky awful feeling that Bobby Abreu may end up on this list.  Don't know why....call it a gut feeling.

I also agree with the Beltre comment.

And haven't really heard it mentioned, but what about Bonds' former teamate Jeff Kent?
