Tonight's Monday Night Football is quite a game for those of you out there who love defensive football. That would not include me. But anyway, it's still an intriguing game. The 2-0 Ravens, who've got rookie QB Joe Flacco under center, have been a bit of a surprise so far this season. Meanwhile, across the ball, we've got a banged up 2-1 Steelers squad, which includes Ben Roethlisberger, that'll also be playing without Willie Parker and Casey Hampton. Thus, Steelers rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall will have the unenviable task of making his NFL debut against the league's No. 1 defense. Oh, and Mendenhall also foolishly boasted this week that he'd have a big time tonight. Something tells me this game won't end well for him.
Basically, considering we have a rookie QB going against a banged-up QB who doesn't seem to have an especially good line, I'd be surprised if we see more than 30 total points in this game.
As of right now 80% of FanIQ is going with the Steelers. I honestly have no clue. I really think Ray Lewis might kill Big Ben.
I'll just go with the flow and pick a score that's about as low as the current Dow Jones. Steelers 13, Ravens 10.
By the way, I'm more interested in seeing how many times Tony Kornheiser mentions Brett Favre tonight after Favre's pretty ridiculous performance yesterday. Even though Favre will have nothing to with tonight's game, I bet Kornheiser mentions his name at least 10 times.
Anyhow, Q it up here with us tonight.
