The Saints are looking at an ugly situation if they lose tonight's game against the Packers. At 5-6, they would be in last place in their division, 2 full games behind 3rd place Atlanta. For a season in which expectations were pretty high, their standings as the 5th team in line for 2 wild card spots would be a huge disappointment. Reggie Bush's absence has hurt the team a ton, and it's no guarantee that he'll be back for this one, either. The lone bright spot has been Drew Brees, who is on pace to beat Dan Marino's single season record for passing yards.
The Packers, on the other hand, are battling for a share of the top spot in the NFC North. 6-5 would leave them tied with the Vikings and Bears, and in control of their own destiny from here on out. Aaron Rodgers has looked like quite an adequate replacement for Brett Favre, and when he has played well, they have been winning consistently. In games that his QB record is higher than 81, the Packers are 6-1. They are 0-4 in games where his QB rating is below that.
60% of FanIQ picked the Packers to win this one, and bury the Saints in the NFC South cellar. If you're watching the game, chat it up here or on the game page.
