Can Aaron Rodgers Take Advantage Of A Banged-Up Baltimore Defense? [Monday Night Football Live Thread]

12/7/09 in NFL   |   Pat   |   5229 respect

The Ravens and Packers square off tonight on ESPN at 8:30 pm EST. Both teams are in their conferences' respective playoff hunts, but the Ravens need it a little more, since they'd drop to 6-6 with a loss. They'll be without Terrell Suggs tonight, as well as Ed Reed, who's out with a hip injury. That means Aaron Rodgers might have a little more time in the pocket, and his WR's might be a little more open. That means good things for the host Packers, who are a surprising 7-2 against teams not named the Minnesota Vikings.

63% of FanIQ users picked the Packers to win. I don't think I can argue with that, especially with the Ravens missing those key players.

If you're watching the game, this is your place to chat it up all night. As always, enjoy the game!

Its hard to really say the Ravens beat themselves considering how many equally stupid mistakes the Packers have made tonight, but they probably did beat themselves. This was just an awful game of football, but I'll take the win.

Then the defense collapses and lets the Ravens back in, plus a stupid challenge. Now I get to stress over the rest of the game.

If Flacco continues to throw interceptions, there will be no need for you to stress.  They are up 10 points with under 5 minutes in the game, I think it's safe for you to exhale now, lol!

WTH!  These Flacco interceptions are beginning to annoy me! The previous one in the end zone could have been avoided.  It was second down...he could have run it himself or just threw it out of bounds and tried again next down.

A couple of more pass interference penalties and the NFL will be able to use this as a teaching tool to show the rest of the league what you can/cant do

This game would be comical and if it wasn't so depressing.

Nobody makes a big play on Charles Woodson. No one.

My goodness. This was our game at the half. Now we'll be lucky to win.

Obviously beating up on teams like the Niners and Lions does not a good team make.

And it continues.. Aaron Rodgers is yet to lead a TD drive to open the 2nd half as a starter. Granted, that time it was Driver's fault. Close between catch or no catch, but impossible to overturn.
