Already there have been crashes, trash talking and even disrespect.

Blog Photo - NASCAR Budweiser Duels at Daytona [Live Race Thread]And the season hasn't really even started.

Tonight the second step of the Daytona 500 qualifying gets underway, with the Budweiser Duels.  The starting positions in the Duels are determined by the qualifying that was run on Sunday.  Tonight a driver can improve that starting postion by finishing strong in his or her duel.  For some drivers, they can actually be knocked right out of the Great American Race, while others who did not qualify to race can gain a spot by finishing well.

I know, it is all rather confusing, but if you are tuning in to watch the races, I'm sure the announcers will explain it constantly throughout the night.

In any case, it is all very entertaining, and emotions are bound to run wild.  We may see a "Big One" but we could also see two very tame races.

No matter what kind of racing we get, if you are like me, you are just happy to see the cars back on track.

If you are watching, follow along with us here, and if you are like millions of others, still watching Olympics, we will try to post updates as the races play out.

Let's go racing boys and girls!

Okay, well seriously, I would far rather Kyle than Denny.....

Well the last lap of the second race was quite entertaining.  Clint Bowyer goes upside down and does a 360 worthy of the Olympics and continues on his merry way.  Denny Hamlin crosses the line first, with Big Daddy Jeff Gordon getting second.

And Ryan Truex does make the show  smiley

I'm totally shocked that there have been no cautions, no wrecks, not even any close calls in either race!

Kevin Harvick (Where did he come from??) made a move, but didn't have enough.  Matt Kenseth wins the first Duel,  (Austin Dillon finished 19th)
So, it's Matt, Happy, Kasey Kahne, all in a race for the finish.

Letting Matt celebrate a little, and the second race will get underway.

Got home a little later than I expected, but turned on the TV for lap 6.  Hell Yeah!!!

So far they are being smart, and riding around.

Sorenson appears to be out, engine going a little sour.

Holy they are really rubbin'!
