Let's start with the Nationwide Series, where Marcos Ambrose is coming off his 2nd win in a row at Watkins Glen. He defended his title there last weekend, but will not be in the Nationwide Series at Michigan. Shrub finished right behind the Tasmanian Devil once again, making it TEN top 2 finishes in a row, breaking the record set by Sam Ard. Whether Shrub likes finishing 2nd or not, these incredible finishes on a weekly basis are going to get him a Nationwide Series Championship if he keeps it up. I know he's disappointed that those 10 finishes weren't all wins, but in November, if he is hoisting the championship trophy, he'll need to look back on this run and realize this stretch is what got him that title.
One thing the drivers need to remember about Michigan is how successful Roushketeers are at this track. With that in mind, you can bet Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, and David Ragan will be factors in this race. I'd put my money on one of these guys to trump Kyle Busch yet again, although he'll be tough to beat.
Of course you'll have to watch for the likes of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski who have both run quite well this year too, with Keselowski again sitting 3rd in the standings with 2 victories including the inaugural race at Iowa a couple weeks ago which is kind of a smaller version of Michigan. So who could win this race?
My Pick: Kyle Busch - How can you possibly bet against this guy right now? Ten top 2 finishes in a row is unbelievable, and even though Roush drivers do very well at MIS, Kyle Busch is the man to beat.

Dark Horse: Jeff Burton - He's in that #29 Holiday Inn Chevy this weekend, and no matter who is in that car, it runs well, and wins a good bit too. He and Shrub have had quite a few good battles for wins the last couple years.

On page 2, we take a look at the Sprint Cup race for Sunday.
