Let's talk racing in the Desert!
The pre race show is about to get underway, with the Penske Fords of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski on the front row. The drivers are headed to the Drivers' Meeting, and they do so on the Red Carpet. Nothing is quite like Las Vegas.
Yesterday Brad Keselowski led the way in the Nationwide race, with Kyle Busch unable to capitalize on Brad's car problems, as he had problems of his own. Kes had alternator issues, while Kyle had a car that seemed to be held back by a parachute, when he stepped on the gas. Kyle Larson finished third.
However, that was yesterday, and today we are ready to go Sprint Cup racing. Vegas always has odds on who has the best chance to win, strictly for fun, of course, and today is no different. Of course, Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr., by virtue of their wins in the first two races are favorites, but Vegas book-makers also take past performances into consideration.

As the Drivers meeting continues, and the Crew Chiefs are given this little handy stat sheet to help them get in and out of the pits and make sure they follow all the rules:
Television coverage has just begun, so I'll leave you with some photos of the day.
Kevin is pretty focussed.
Oh yeah, and in case you missed it, Tony "Smoke" Stewart is having a lot of fun these days, although some people don't like it. He's Eastbound and down.....
So who is your pick today? Smoke? Happy? Jr? Kes? Or someone without a nickname? Is there one?
Let's go racing!!
