It is being tweeted that NASCAR has confirmed BK will be the 2012 Champion.

Clint is now ahead of JJ and will finish second in points.

Wow, I couldn't have scripted this if I tried.

Reports are that some fans are leaving the grandstands.  While I never want to see a championship won in this way and I do hate it for the 48 team, it is still a race, and Kyle and Martin are putting on a great show.  Those people who are leaving are not true fans IMO.

And I don't hate it, Jen, I understand  what they are doing as they have done every year.  I was making the observation that  I am thankful for Twitter and being able to follow the teams I also want to know about, as they are giving updates on their own teams, not just the championship leaders. 

And yay Skins, (saw that as well on Twitter) and my Calgary Stampeders are giving the BC Lions a run for the money in the Western Conference final in CFL.  #multitaskingqueen

Jimmie Johnson is done.  Car problems are terminal, apparently, and Jimmie is losing laps.  Paul Wolfe has just told his driver the news, but Brad still has to pit one more time for fuel.  

Can Clint pass Jimmie for second place in the points???

JJ's crew missed a lug nut on his pit stop and the 48 had to return to pit road.  Brad takes the lead again in the points.

Oh, they had about 5-7 mins about Kyle and his thinking his car was blowing up. I know you hate it, but think of all the fans last year having to listen about Smoke & Uncle Carl.....it's big news, considering the lead has been cut to 2, but, all Brad needs to do, is chill and cruise and he's Champion. I surely would'nt want to be him right now.

We aren't really seeing anyone other than Brad and JJ.  Haven't heard much at all about Kyle, except that he is leading.  Even the Clint/Jeff closeness on the track barely got a mention.  Thank God for Twitter, because anything I am getting about other drivers I am getting there.

It has been a pretty uneventful race. I wonder how much talking Paul has been doing to keep his driver focused, or maybe calm would be a better word. I did enjoy the tete-tete Brad did earlier with Jimmie.

First caution for actual driver/car incident - Ricky Stenhouse Jr gets into the wall with a flat right front tire. As they run, Keselowski has the points lead by 3.

Second debris caution and some quick pit stops.  JJ takes two right side tires and comes out with the lead.  Brad is back in traffic and the Championship lead is cut to 2 points as they run.

After 100 laps, Kyle Busch continues to lead, although he has reported engine problems - still on the track with the 56 of Truex Jr doggin' his heels.

Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon found each other on the track.  Jeff has made changes to his car making it drive really well.  He went around the 15 of Bowyer without incident.

Caution for debris on the back stretch.  Everyone will pit for tires, fuel and whatever changes they need.

Brad's crew made some great adjustments on the car during the pit stop, and he has just repassed the 48.  Still green, leader is still Kyle and we are done 63 of 267 laps.

Caution free after 44 laps, Kyle Busch leads and is already lapping the field.  Brad in 6th, JJ in 9th.

No, I am watching NASCAR, don't care about F1 right now.  Pissed that they took my NASCAR Raceday away to show me I'm not able to watch F1, not that I can't watch F1.

SPEED just totally effed up here - We don't change time, but it has just now locked me out, telling me I can't watch the Formula 1 race.  I was trying to watch the last half hour of NASCAR Raceday.
