The NBA released it's national television schedule, filled with most of the usual suspects. As expected, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will be on the maximum number of times (25), including a Christmas afternoon showdown in LA. Joining last season's NBA finalist, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns are also slotted in for 25 games.
The Cavs make sense for obvious reasons, or reason, but Phoenix is a little surprising. I guess is will serve as a farewell, impending retirement tour for Shaq and Steve Nash.
Also doing some heavy lifting on national television, is the much awaited debut of the Portland Trail Blazers with Greg Oden. We'll get to see Mr. Oden against all of the NBA powers, particularly against all the big men you've been waiting for. Catching my eye early, is a Halloween night game in Rip City, where Greg will welcome the San Antonio Spurs and Tim Duncan. The Blazers will also being a part of NBA Opening Night, October 28th, playing in the later game against the Lakers.
Others games of interest:
Oct 28th - Cavs vs Celtics - Early chance to see what Lebron has in store for us
Nov 6th - Rockets vs Blazers - Yao vs Oden
Nov 21st - Hornets vs Sonics - NO/OCH vs New OC
Feb. 12th - Heat vs Bulls- Beasley vs Rose
Obviously plenty of other fascinating games. Take a look here and share some other big games below.
