Larry Legend with his index finger raised (might as well have been a middle to Dale Ellis) while the money ball was still in the air serves as the signature moment in the history of the NBA's All-Star Long Distance Shootout.
Bird famously walked into the locker room before the event and said "I'm just looking around to see who's going to end up finishing second."
This was Larry's third straight win (he shot better in 1986 and 1987) and transformed the three-pointer from a new gimmick to showpiece move.
Now the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, this year's participants are: Jason Kapono (defending champ), Kobe Bryant, Peja Stojakovic, Daniel Gibson (?), Richard Hamilton and Steve Nash.
