NBA Draft and Conspiracy Theorists

Michael Jordan is sick to his stomach right now.  After having the best chance of winning the No. 1 pick at 25%, the New Orleans Hornets have snatched the No. 1 pick, only to leave the Bobcats with the penultimate No. 2 pick.
After nixing a trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, conspiracy theorists have even more to chatter about regarding the Kim Jong Il of the NBA.
Commissioner David Stern has been praised as the best commissioner in all of sports and has been simultaneously scrutinized for his ironclad grip of the NBA. Tonight’s draft is just one example why.
While the lottery order is revealed to the entire public, the public is not privy to the actual selection process done in private.
The NBA still owns the New Orleans Hornets, but they are soon going to be selling the team to the owner of the New Orleans Saints, Tom Benson.  However, that doesn’t mean the conspiracy theorists have been silent.
David Brickley recently tweeted:

David Stern
:  “We will guarantee you the #1 pick if you buy the Hornets from the NBA”
Tom Benson (owner):  “You got yourself a deal!”
While the Hornets getting the No. 1 pick is the most obvious cheap shot against the Commissioner, there are a plethora of other situations that could’ve made the Commissioner equally look like a Dictator; be it the Nets moving to Brooklyn or purposely not giving the Bobcats the No. 1 pick for tanking.
But who really knows if David Stern was just as surprised as the rest of us; or if he was petting his hairless cat while reclining on his lazy-boy?
The only thing that is certain now is that Davis will be inevitably going to the Big Easy and the thirteen other teams in the lottery have a lot of homework to do.

Really a terrorist?? Stern is a a lot of things but that went a little far, seeing how he has the NBA making money, and bringing in more.

Wait, NHL does the same thing, by throwing the teams in a hat so the worse record may not get the first pick. Only MLB, and NFL does the worst record gets the first pick.

It's no theory. Stern is an ***hole with entirely too much power. I'm pretty sure he is a member of a terrorists cell.

David Stern has always come across as a slime ball to me.  It wouldn't surprise me one bit if there were some shady, behind the scenes, dealing in place that lead to the Hornets getting the #1 pick

People should have better things to do then to sit here and believe that Stern set the lottery draft up so the Hornets would get the number pick. Even with the pick the Bobcats or the Hornets are going to be a threat to do something next year. Unless they change the way the those two teams are run, we will continue to see them on the bottom.

Usually not one for conspiracies, but Stern's gotta know that this looks SUPER suspect, especially after the way he handled that CP3 trade and the uproar it made.
