Oladipo goes 2nd to Orlando
The 2012-13 Magic finished with the league's worst record at 20-62 and, even with the addition of Oladipo, they look poised for another rough season in 2013-14.
The Magic are in full rebuild mode and seem to have holes at nearly every position. Last season they struggled on both offense and defense and seem content to make incremental improvements. They have a young coach and a young roster -- nine first or second year players suited up for Orlando last year.
The selection of Oladipo is the first early lottery pick in Orlando's rebuilding project after the team made the playoffs consistently during the Dwight Howard era, so it's crucial to the team's long term plan that this pick works out.
Oladipo is supposed to be one of the safest players in the draft. His floor is high but opinions vary on how high his ceiling may be. However, he is expected to compete right away and have an instant impact for a team that needs guys that can contribute and grow together.
