With their second pick of the draft, the Utah Jazz have selected Gorgui Dieng at no. 21 in the 2013 NBA Draft and will send him to Minnesota as part of the Trey Burke trade along with Shabazz Muhammad.

Minnesota has already added Muhammad, a scorer that will fit nicely next to the unselfish Rubio.  Similarly, Dieng seems like a good complementary piece for Minnesota's existing big man rotation.  With Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic already embedded in the starting lineeup, Dieng won't have to contribute right away.

The Louisville center was a big part of their championship run.  He is primarily a shot blocker but also has more skills than many other defensive specialists.  He may not have a big offensive impact at the next level, but he can dribble, pass, and shoot well enough to stay on the floor without disrupting an NBA offense.
