NBA Live Thread: Miami Heat Vs San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks Vs Denver Nuggets
Check Out Chauncey Billups' Debut With The Nuggets
The NBA is on ESPN tonight, with 2 games that will be on throughout the country. At 8:00 EST, Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs will host Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. At 10:30, the Dallas Mavericks will play the Nuggets in Denver, in a game which will feature Chauncey BIllups in a Nuggets uniform for the first time.

81% of FanIQ is picking the Spurs over the Heat, with an average predicted score of 97-91. ESPN's simulation is similar, picking the Spurs 97.5 - 88. I'm really looking forward to seeing where that half point comes from.

In the late game, 70% went with the Mavs, by an average of 99-96. ESPN agreed, predicting a 100-99 squeaker in favor of the Mavs.

Chat it up here, or on the game pages, where you can also make all of your NBA picks for tonight.

Even though the T'Wolves will probably struggle this year, I don't think you'll regret it.  The NBA is in a good shape right now.

Parker writhing in pain and goes directly to the locker room..

I'm a cynic and despise the Spurs, so kind of a "yay" enters my mind.

Can't I celebrate an injury AND the Spurs being down 17 at home?

Clearly a missed opportunity for "Yes we can!"

Clearly. But when there are so many out there, I will let others take advantage of their only chance at humor.

24 point lead, and the San Antonio fans are finally catching up by about 6 years, and booing their Spurs..

Quickly gaining love for Kevin Love...first start tonight, and good energy + effectiveness.

It will probably be a horrible season like last year, but it is just fun to watch guys like Jefferson, Love, Foye, McCants, Craig Smith, Gomes, etc.

and when the ticket prices are so low, they have gone to buy one get one free deals among other things...it's pretty easy to go up there and enjoy it live too.

Can't go wrong with that kind of deal.  Jefferson is one of the more underrated and forgotten players in the league.  Everyone assumes that Minnesota got schooled in the KG trade, but I think they did pretty well getting him out of that deal.
