Every day during the NBA playoffs, the Triple Threat will break down the latest action as we get closer to awarding the Larry O'Brien Trophy.San Antonio 117, Phoenix 115 Any description I could write of this game couldn't do it justice. For the record though, I pretty much agree with 100% Injury Rate.
New Orleans 104, Dallas 92 A phenomenal second half by the Hornets, particularly Chris Paul. A 61 point second half turned a 12 point halftime deficit into what ended up being a comfortable victory. Paul took control in that second stanza, finishing the game with 35 points and 10 assists. The Mavs were just as bad as the Hornets were good, hitting just nine field goals in the second half.
Cleveland 93, Washington 86 This was a back and forth game late until, surprise surprise, LeBron took over. Two big shots in the paint gave the Cavs a point lead with 55 seconds left. They were able to hold as the Wizards suddenly couldn't make a shot. Gilbert Arenas was no where to be found in the fourth, and he fouled out with 13 ticks left. Washington may be better from #2-12, but the Cavs have the advantage at #1, and today it mattered.
Utah 93, Houston 82 It's only one game, but the Rockets are in trouble already. With this result, they will now have to win at least once in Utah to win the series. At home, the Jazz went 37-4 this season. Houston played with point Rafer Alston, and it seemed to affect their offense, especially considering replacement Bobby Jackson shot 3-15. Utah also manhandled the Rockets, who are of course without Yao Ming, inside with 50 points in the paint.
