The boring, meaningless NBA preseason got underway last night but don't tell that to this crowd in Hawaii. That might be the most exhuberant reaction to a bucket Troy Hudson has ever received. Wow, and I thought I was excited to see some basketball highlights.
A few debuts of interest last night:
Yi Jianlian, Bucks -- 1-4, 3 pts, 6 fouls
Joakim Noah, Bulls -- 6 pts, 4 reb, 4 asts, 1 stl (looks like a standard line for him this season)
Al Thornton, Clips -- 4-13, 9 pts, 6 reb
Kevin Durant, Sonics -- 5-9, 12 pts, 3 reb (guarded by Artest most of the night)
Marco Belinelli, Warriors - 4-9, 8 pts
NBA needs to get ready for Melo and A.I. show for the 07-08 season. Melo had a great summer playing with team U.S.A and he'll care that over into this up coming season. They'll be one of the top teams in the West this year.
Boston finally got some players to go with Pierce and you know there's only two good teams in the East (Pistons and Heat), now you can add Boston. Only teams that can compete with the West Conf. teams in the playoffs.
