NBA Triple Threat: Your (almost) daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:
Nuggets win in double OT My description couldn't possibly do justice on this candidate for Game of the Year. The Nuggets beat the Rockets 112-111 on an Anthony Carter floater with 0.8 seconds left in double overtime, completing a constant back and forth extra period. Denver almost won in regulation, but the Rockets scored the final seven points in the fourth to force the overtime. Just a fantastic game with big performances from role players: Carter, Chucky Atkins, and Shane Battier among them.
LeBron beats Kobe Officially, it was the Cavs over the Lakers 94-90. However, for the final 2:23, it was LeBron vs. Kobe, mano y mano. In that 2:23, Kobe was held to zero points on 0-2 shooting, part of an 0-8 final four minutes for LA that cost them the game. LeBron finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Heat freefall continues One would think that Miami would be good to win when Dwyane Wade scores 41, his season high thus far. However, the Heat blew a seven point lead in the final 4:24, and fell in overtime to the Nets 107-103. The end was so bad for the Heat that they needed a 19 footer at the buzzer by Udonis Haslem just to force overtime. 19 is now also their number of losses this season.

- Chuck Daly: Isiah should move upstairs - Somehow I don't think that would satiate Knicks' fans thirst for blood.
- Magic consoles Mourning - Didn't get to this yesterday, but congrats to Alonzo Mourning for a great career, and for coming back from the kidney transplant, if indeed his career is over.
- More on TJ Ford - Take it from me. More doctors = not good.
